TUBA CITY-The Western Junior Rodeo Association (WJRA) opened the 2007 season on Saturday, April 14. The weather was good, the stock great and the turnout spectacular. D&L Manygoats, Natoni Horse Racing and Sanders Rodeo sponsored the first of two membership drive rodeos for WJRA. Over 200 spectators watched and encouraged 121 young cowboys and cowgirls to compete for over $4,000 in prize money.

All around awards went to Paige Dale in the Midget Division; there was a tie between Tee O'Brien and Ryan Cody Nez in the Pee Wee Division; and Ariana Kinlicheenie won in the Junior Division.

Danielle Manygoats won in the Senior Girls Division, and Kordale Secody took the prize in the Senior Boys Division. Many other participants placed in each of the divisions (See below for listing).

WJRA is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. Anyone wishing to sponsor a rodeo, donate their time or provide awards should contact Jeffery Jim, WJRA president at 505-612-8811.
