Josephine Talyumptewa

Funeral Services for Josephine Fuson Talyumptewa, 53, were held Oct. 15 at the Leupp Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Calvin Kelly presiding. Interment followed at Old Leupp Cemetery.

Josephine grew up in Leupp, attending Leupp Public School to 8th grade. She worked as a librarian aide and pre-school teacher aide. Josephine was fond of all her nieces, nephews and grand niece and nephews.

She enjoyed working on various types of puzzles, jig saw, word & crossword. She also collected many types of miniature figurines and she enjoyed all types of music.

She sponsored a young girl in Honduras and sent her school supplies, donations and clothing.

She also donated to and supported other worthwhile charity programs such as Toys for Tots, Cancer Research Foundation and Paralyzed Veterans

She loved the company of her nieces and nephews and loved to travel. Josephine will be missed but we know she is with her heavenly father.

She is survived by her husband Carl Talayumptewa, Jr.; daughter Sandra Fuson of Leupp; parents, George & Emma Jean Willie of Leupp; father Billy Fuson of Tolani Lake; sisters, Emily Tsosie (Solomon), Delores Lee, Annabelle Smallcanyon (Ronald) all of Leupp; brothers, Justin Willie (Linda) and John Willie (Loretta), both of Leupp, and George Willie, Jr. (Mae) of Chino Valley.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Benny L. Huskon, Calvin Fuson and Arthur Willie

Arrangements were under the care of Greer's Mortuary of Winslow.
