The Just Cruis'n Car Club expects more than 150 vehicles at its 11th annual car show Oct. 8 on the grounds at La Posada in downtown Winslow.

Car club spokesman Charlie McLaws said the car show will feature a Poker Run again this year on Friday evening. The Poker Run will begin at 6 p.m. from La Posada, and end at 8 p.m. at BoJo's Sports Bar and Grill.

McLaws said participants in the Poker Run must be entered in the car show and they must drive their show entry. The cost of the Poker Run is included in the entry fee.

McLaws said the Just Cruis'n Car Show gets "bigger and bigger every year."

It is not uncommon to have entries from Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and California. The majority of the entries come from a Phoenix car club called the Over the Hill Gang.

The car show is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration for the show is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday at La Posada.

First, second and third place trophies will be presented for each of the 32 classes. Additional trophies will be awarded for Best of Show, People's Choice, Best Chevrolet, Best Ford and Best Mopar.

Other awards include Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Engine, Best Engineered, Best Represented Club and Long Distance Award.

Cake Chevrolet, CarQuest of Winslow and the Winslow Chamber of Commerce are sponsors of the Just Cruis'n Car Club Car Show.
