Save U.S.’s last wilderness area

America’s last true wilderness area, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, is under attack.

Home to nearly 200 species of wildlife, the fragile and isolated Arctic Refuge is one of the most pristine ecosystems on the planet.

Congress is trying to sneak fiscally irresponsible provisions into the 2006 Budget Resolution that assumes speculative leasing revenue from drilling in the refuge.

Three out of four major oil companies already have given up lobbying Congress for drilling access in the Refuge because they don’t think it contains enough oil to make drilling their time and money.

When will they learn?
