Police are looking for the person or people responsible for cutting through the wire fences at McHood Park. Rather than breaking in, Lt. Jim Sepi said it appears someone most likely cut the fence to get out.
“The gate was locked probably while they were inside so they cut the fence and peeled it back to be able to drive out,” he said.
About 30-feet of fence was cut near the western entrance to the park. Part of the damaged fence is city owned and part is property of APS. Sepi said the damage was estimated at less than $200.
An employee from Waste Management reported the damage to police around 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 17.
