Benefit song & dance in TC

Everyone is welcome to attend a Benefit Social Song and Dance held Saturday, Feb. 12 at St. Jude’s Church Parish Hall in Tuba City. Registration is at 10 a.m. and the grand entry is at noon. Grocery awards go to all dancers and group singers. Donations of groceries or other items are appreciated. There will also be raffles, concessions, door prizes and a cakewalk. The Navajo Nation Swingers serve as host. Western Navajo Social Song & Dance Committee is sponsoring this event.

St. Michaels’ lists meeting

The St. Michaels Regular Chapter meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13 at the chapter house in St. Michaels. For more information, call the chapter at 928-871-7842.

NACA extends art contest

Native Americans for Community Action has extended its art contest deadline for youth 12-17 years of age. The winner’s art will be published on the youth substance abuse program, Ray of Hope Project ( Project “Sihisin Bil Adindiin”) brochure and poster. Please submit to NACA, Steve’s Blvd., Ste. 11, Flagstaff, AZ., by Feb. 24. There will be an award for the winner and incentives for all participants.
