Winslow Police Log Aug. 10

The Winslow Police Department responded to the following incidents during July 31-Aug. 6. This is not a complete list of calls that officers answered. Unless otherwise noted, all charged suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

July 31

Thefts from vehicle

The tires, rims, hubcaps and lug nuts were reported missing from a vehicle parked on the 700 block of Warren.

A man who resides in Prescott Valley reported a toolbox was taken from the bed of his truck while it was parked at Adobe Inn.

Aug. 1

Fire in the can

A fire was reported in an outdoor trashcan at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School around 5:10 p.m. The fire was extinguished without causing damage.

Peddling on a train

An Amtrak dispatcher alerted Winslow police that a 21-year-old man aboard an incoming train was selling liquor on board. The dispatcher reported he was refusing to cooperate. Winslow officers removed him from the train.

Aug. 3

Railway hitchhiker

BNSF Railway police officers requested Winslow police assistance in removing Clarence Henry, 50, from a train. Henry was advised to stay off company property.

Asleep at the wheel?

A 16-year-old boy was charged with criminal damage after he was discovered asleep in a car that was not his. The teen broke a window causing an estimated $150 in damage.

Police received two calls regarding animals, 15 disorderly conduct calls, 13 trespassing calls, eight assaults or domestic violence calls, responded to 31 medical emergencies and issued 16 traffic tickets or warnings.
