Book sale supports Winslow library <br>

More than 6,000 books and magazines will be available as the Friends of the Winslow Public Library host their annual Book Fair Oct. 14-16 at the Winslow Public Library.

All items are $0.50 or less including videos and books on tape. On Saturday, Oct. 16, all books are $1 per box. All proceeds benefit the library.

Thursday, Oct. 14 is the members only pre-sale from 4 to 8 p.m.

The sale is open to the public from noon to 7 p.m. on Oct. 15, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 16.

The Winslow High School library donated many books as well as a bookstore in Phoenix. Other books have come from the community.

The Friends also offer books for sale in the library year-round, but not at such low prices.

Books that are not sold are sent to a recycling center in Show Low.

For more information, contact the library at 1-928-289-4982. The Winslow Public Library is located at 420 W. Gilmore.
