Early absentee voting in TC

Coconino County Elections is conduct Early Voting (absentee) for the Nov. 2 General Election at the Tuba City County Branch Office on 49 Maple Street, located next to the old WIC office. The office will be open on Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (DST). Early Voting began on Sept. 30 and ends on Friday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. For more information, call the Coconino County Elections Sub-Office at 928-283-4821 or 283-4518.

Domestic Violence Awarenes

The Tohdenasshai Shelter Home will be hosting several activities during the month. On Oct. 5, a march against domestic violence will take place at 6:00pm at the Kayenta Bashas parking lot and proceed to the Kayenta Chapter House where a candlelight vigil will end the DV march. All community members, leaders and interested are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be provided. On October 14, a walk will take place at Shonto School at 1:30 pm. On October 15, a walk will take place at Dennehotso School at 1:30pm and in Chilchinbeto community on October 16, TBA. A mini training on Domestic Violence will be presented on October 21,-lunch provided, and our DV task force meeting is on October 28 at 10:00am. Throughout the month, we will also have our “clothesline project” displayed in the Bashas’ courtyard. If you are interested or want more information on the activities, please call 928-697-3635.
