Outkast offensive to native people

The 2004 Grammy Awards were offensive to Native American people because of the last performance.

The last performance was by a hip-hop group called Outkast. They were dressed in Native American clothing and danced with a sacred headdress.

I think that was a stupid racist action.

The performer’s name was Andre Benjamin. I think that he should have known better since he is an African American. He should have known that the African American and Native Americans had similar experiences.

CBS should have known better than to let them perform such a racist act toward Native Americans. I think that CBS and the performers should apologize to the Native Americans for what they did, especially to the tribe that wears that clothing and the headdresses.

We take our religion very seriously. It is not a joke, but the performers and CBS made it look that way. The performers weren’t Native American. The songs that the performer sang had nothing to do with Native American clothing let alone the tipi and the people.

I just think that Outkast’s performance was stupid. I hope that they learn from their mistakes.

Youth need to address ozone

I think people should show more concern about the ozone layer.

The people who don’t really care about this problem are the young people. The problem affects all people of all ages throughout the world.

People are using products that are making the ozone layer thin or making holes over parts of the North and South Pole.

Once the ozone layer is gone, we will have no protection from the sun’s ultraviolet rays. Right now people are already getting skin cancer.

Another problem that is killing the ozone layer is pollution. Pollution not only wrecks the ozone layer, but it also makes the atmosphere dirty.

Another reason why students should care about the ozone layer is because they might not be around when the ozone layer is gone, but their children or grandchildren might be affected by this in the future.

This is why we should show more concern and try to help resolve the problems with the ozone layer.

Why get involved in another war?

If I were the president of the United States, I would not get involved with Haiti.

Unlike George Bush, who has sent another 1,000 troops there, I would let the people of Haiti resolve their own country’s issues.

They wanted President Aristide out of office. They got what they wanted, but now Haiti is out of control.

Let them make up their own policies. Let them see how hard it is to get the people to follow.

Also, why is Bush sending U.S. troops to Haiti too? The United States has thousands of troops in Iraq. Why does he want to kill them in Haiti too?

I think the men and women in the United States need to say “no” to the government. They need to rest awhile and stay with their families.

I think the troops will not do any good in Haiti. They won’t improve anything there.

The people won’t listen and protection is out of the question. Who will they protect? What good will come out of this?

I think the outcome of this will be another country will hate the United States

I also wonder if Bush is doing this so he can win the presidency.

Elders should be protected

My view on the elderly is that we would like to see better care taken of the older generation.

They need as much care as we do. Since they are older many of them have some health issues, which cannot be fixed.

Therefore, people need to take better care of their relatives. For that, the elderly people will appreciate that you want them to be healthy.

Many states have laws, which prohibit elder abuse, but some people still mistreat the elders. Some of the things that make people mean to them might be anger at someone else. Older people cannot move as quickly as they used to, and this can cause frustration.

I believe that before any kind of elderly center hires a person, they should be required to do a background check on the person. If the center feels that theapplicant could be a danger to the people, they shouldn’t hire him.

In many cases, elderly people in rest homes are mistreated by the workers. Sometimes the elders might be given the wrong kind of medication. This can cause a terrible illness or death.

Many workers who are charged with murdering patients already have had a history of violent behavior that was not taken seriously by the center at which they worked. So, the center is to blame for not checking into the person’s background.

Usually, the suspect is given a minimal sentence, which is not fair for the crime they committed.

Students should think about future

Students should be thinking about their future way before their graduation.

I think everyone should have an idea of what kind of career they would like to pursue. There may be certain kinds of classes they would need to complete while in high school.

I believe that everyone has some sort of dream to be a doctor, lawyer or even a teacher.

These are not just easily learned careers. They all require some college

education. There are also qualifications required to attend a college or university. Therefore, all students should decide what kind of future they want before it’s too late.

I think a student should choose a career he or she is interested in. This will help the student clearly understand and succeed in their choice of career.

Colleges and universities sometimes require certain subjects to be completed while in high school. When entering high school from junior high, I think it would be helpful to decide which you would like to attend. This will ensure your qualifications to any college or university.

Planning out your career obviously takes serious consideration. When you complete your education and begin a stable career, you’ll surely enjoy your life.

You will prove to yourself you are independent and will be able to support yourself and possibly your own family.
