During the special session, Senate President Ken Bennett (R-Prescott) said, “We’re friends and neighbors sharing the same state.”

Rep. Tom O’Halleran (R-Sedona), standing in for House Speaker Jake Flake, noted that in his native Chicago integrated neighborhood, “We all have to learn to get along.”
