Winslow turned into a Winter Wonder Land

Chris Moss and his wife LeAnn, along with their two children Kennedy (r) and Kedan, spent Wednesday building this snowman in from of their Elm Street home.

Winslow was hit with flurries throughout the day along with a couple of good snowfalls that kept the city covered in white. The nighttime brought ice and lots of it. By morning on Thursday, Winslow’s soft, powdry snow had become crunchy and slippery. Thursday afternoon brought lots of sun and slick roads. Winslow was expected to get hit with a few more snow storms before Christmas. Editor’s note: As a person who has had little to no snow in her life, I hope that those people who are used to the white stuff can appreciate the beauty of this natural wonder. I also hope it got all those Winslow shoppers in the Christmas spirit.
