Lobo quarterback Porter Caldwell hit Bryan Elkins on a 58 yard scoring pass with 4:53 left in the first quarter. Troy Johnson converted for a 7-0 Snowflake lead.

Winslow answered on a 13-yard pass from Steven Martinez to Shimeon Mattox. Orlando Vargas converted to tie the game. The score was set up by a 30 yard Nolan Horn run.

Caldwell passed nine yards to Joey Cosper for the final score of the first quarter with 1:01 left in the period. The kick gave the Lobos a 14-7 lead.

Martinez scored the tying touchdown with 10:25 left in the second period on a 16 yard run after an Orlando Vargas interception gave the Bulldogs the ball at the Snowflake 19 yard line.

Paul Johnson ran 34 yards for the final score of the half with 4:13 remaining. The kick failed and Snowflake led 20-14. Winslow threatened in the closing seconds of the half, but was out of time outs and could not convert from inside the 10-yard line.

The Lobos took the second half kick-off and drove into the end zone. Elkins scored on a two-yard run. The conversion pass failed and Snowflake led 20-14.

Caldwell scored again on a 20 yard run and the conversion increased the Lobo margin to 33-14.

Johnson ran 12 yards for the final score of the third period. The conversion kick gave the Lobos a commanding 40-14 advantage.

Chade Green opened the fourth period scoring with a 31 yard run. The conversion kick gave Snowflake a 47-14 lead.

Johnson ran 70 yards for the final Snowflake touchdown and a 53-14 lead.

Winslow scored with less than three minutes left in the game when Carlos Quezada stripped the ball from a Lobo runner and returned it 84 yards to the Lobo two-yard line. Warren Prosser punched it across from there. The conversion kick made the final score 53-21.

Snowflake won the junior varsity game 62-0 in Snowflake on Thursday. Winslow won the freshman game 28-20, also in Snowflake on Thursday.

The Bulldogs face another tough test on Friday when they meet the defending Arizona State 3A Champion Blue Ridge Yellowjackets at Lakeside.
