Festival of Trees lights up La Posada and hearts

Karen Harvey works to put the finishing touches on the tree she and Melissa Adair donated to the Festival.

He invited everyone out to La Posada to see the items and place a few bids.

“I want to thank Alan, Tina, Dan and all the staff at the La Posada for letting us have this festival in the hotel,” Hall said. “I would also like to thank Rosalva Zimmerman and her staff at the Resource Center for all the hard work they do during the event.”

Hall also wished to thank the businesses, individuals and organizations who donated to this year’s festival including Wal-Mart, Winslow High School’s Baseball Club, Trudy Black, Tina and Susan Roe, Rhett and Heather Carrell, Kenna Associates, Bobby and Nadienne Yeates, Delta Kappa Gama and Winslow High School’s Big Brother Big Sister program.

Also donating were Karen Harvey and Melissa Adair, Jeanie, Gene and Mary Ann Smith, the Cinderella Youth Pageant, the Winslow Coalition for Strong Families, Winslow Family Resource Center, Ruth LeGate, Dr. and Mrs. Ken Ogilvie, the Winslow Soroptimist and Vina Creager.

Other donors were Mary Jo Jennings, the Blondell Family, Joseph City High School, McCauley Construction/Dyna Rock and Sand, Winslow’s Teen Court program, AARP, Ms. Pollard’s 3rd grade class, Ms. Gilliam’s and Ms. Elzy’s kindergarten classes, Ms. Tsosie’s 4th grade class (all from Thomas Jefferson Elementary), Linda and Seth Jennings, the Zimmerman Family, Parents’ Anonymous - Flagstaff, Meagan Lymer and Hackler Chiropractic.

Finishing out the list of donors are Simmons Realty; Brooke Hodges; Dr. Andrew LeGate and Joan Lewis; Winslow Respiratory; Lisa Foster and Celeste Hartnett; Helen Butler; the Kolomitz Women; Koala Etchings, Farm Bureau and King Spurs; Jonnie Horton; Wild Styles/Reel Deal; Ann Marie from Winslow’s Madonna House; Johnny Martinez Plumbing; As You Like It; Winslow’s Catholic Community; Winslow Community Counseling Center; Painted Desert Honey Company and Casa Blanca Cafe.

“They once again didn’t disappoint,” he said. “This couldn’t be done without them.”
