Hopi Junior High Track And Field Records And Results

Polacca, Ariz.-Chinle Junior High School grabbed first place in the boys and girls track and field competitions April 10 at Hopi Junior High School.

Chinle won the boys match with 173 points, Ganado grabbed second with 117 points, Dilcon took third with 54, Hopi, Tuba City public and Pinon tied for fourth with 26, Sanders placed fifth with 25 and Tuba Boarding School finished sixth with 19.

Lamon Arviso of Ganado took first place in the long jump with 15’9". Joseph Wilson of Ganado took second, Rodel Williams of Chinle placed third, Raynold B. of Round Rock finished fourth and Chris Poola from Hopi took fifth.

Riley Stevens from Chinle grabbed first in the 400 meter with a time of 1:03. Chad Tsosie from Pinon placed second, Rick Worker from Tuba City public took third, Raynal Begay of Rough Rock finished fourth, Matt Coppin from Sanders finished fifth and Chris Poola from Hopi took sixth.

Rodell Williams from Chinle snagged first in the 800 meter in 2:27. Quintin Kurley of Ganado grabbed second, Shane Cepi finished third and Mark Platero of Chino took fourth.

Michael Dedman of Chinle grabbed first in the 200 meter with a time of 27.79, Lamon Arviso of Ganado snagged second, Riley Stevens of Chinle took third, William Yazzie of Chinle took fourth and Shane Cepi from Hopi finished fifth. Tyrone James from Round Rock placed sixth.
