BADD – Bruins Against Destructive Decisions

Polacca, Ariz.– Bruins Against Destructive Decisions (BADD) wants to make sure that less people get hurt or in trouble due to drugs and alcohol. The new group at Hopi Junior/Senior High School is particularly concerned about those who drink and drive.

BADD President Kelsy Hardt, Treasurer Chassity Gould and Secretary Danielle Lomayaktewa have formed the core of this group that is coming up with strategies to make people think twice about using drugs and alcohol.

BADD has come up with a “Prom Promise” that each student must sign before they come to the prom. The Prom Promise states that if the student finds themself in a bad situation that he or she will call their parents for a free ride home. The parents in turn promise not to confront the son or daughter until the next morning.
