Window Rock High School Wins Girls 3A Track Meet 7th Year in a Row

GANADO, ARIZ. —-Window Rock High School won the 3A North girls track and field regional meet for the seventh year in a row Friday.

The meet was held at Ganado High School in cold, windy weather with an occasional hailstorm. Coach Jim Law, whose been at the helm for 20 years, said that this year’s Lady Scouts were not as strong as some past years and lacked depth, but did what they had to do in order to win. Coach Law emphasized that the Window Rock girls trained hard in order to win this meet.

“Team effort was the key. There wasn’t one individual as much as all of the girls performing to get the job done. We reached our goal and I was really happy with the girls’ effort,” he said.
