Letters to the Editor

Editor,

The mayor’s display of arrogance while conducting several of the City Council meetings has now become quite a reflection of his character. He has allowed himself to become so frustrated that he has lost control of his emotions and resorted to name calling, which led to personal attacks on some individuals that had voiced their disagreement with his and Council’s actions. Items on the agenda many times became “controversial” or “questionable” in the eyes of the public. Sadly, when he is confronted by those that have the right to do so, he in turn lets “criticism” lead him down the path of contempt.

As we have stated in past, he must be held accountable for his conduct and actions. It is part of the duties of holding public office for which he was duly elected. There is an old saying that pertains to the Mayor’s character: “If you want to dance you must pay the fiddler.” The time has come that he must now pay up. The conduct of his supporters (those on the Council) is also inexcusable. Like it or not, let their record speak for itself.
