Earl A. Adams, Sr.

Funeral Service for Earl A. Adams, Sr,., 72, was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, at the Sunlight Baptist Mission in Second Mesa. Interment was in the Family Plot in Second Mesa.

Earl Adams passed away at his home in Second Mesa on December 9. He was born on February 26, 1928, in Toreva.

His survivors include; his wife, Thelma Adams; son, Plinney T. Adams II; daughters, Earlene Tah, Jonell B. Adams and Katherine T. Adams; sister, Emily Sneed; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Greer's Scott Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.

Douglas James Pearce

Douglas James Pearce, 61, passed away in Payson December 11 with his children by his side. Doug was a conductor for the railroad since 1959. He was an active Elks member for over 35 years. He enjoyed his life, especially hunting, fishing and being with his friends.

Mr. Pearce is survived by his daughter Shelly Ann Gamboa of Prescott; two sons, Anthony James Pearce of All Around and Richard Douglas Pearce of of Mohave Valley; two sisters, Florence Ilean Lewis of Wyoming and Emily Peterson of Apache Junction; three brothers, Stan Pearce of Taylor, Boyd Pearce of Michigan and Sharmon Pearce of Globe; six grandchildren; and his girlfriend Jody Fearing of Winslow. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 14 at the LDS Love Lake Chapel with Bishop Roger Willis officiating. Burial was in Taylor Cemetery. A memorial service and celebration of his life was also held on Saturday, December 16 at 2 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Winslow.

Owens Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
