Tuba City’s Allan on All State Baseball Team

Tuba City Warrior all around junior athlete Josh Allan has been selected to the first unit of the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association 3A All State Team. Allan was Tuba City’s ace pitcher and leading hitter during the recently concluded season. He was also an outstanding football and basketball player. The Warriors were in the state play-offs in all three sports and state champions in basketball. Allan was the only Enchantment Region player selected to the first unit of the elite team.

Winslow High School had three players selected to the second team of the Arizona State Baseball Association’s 3A All State Team. Sophomore pitcher Mike Beeson, junior catcher Dub Ward and junior second baseman Shawn Mead were all selected to that elite unit.

Others selected to the first unit included Steven Lopez, Manual Lopez, Tim Holacher and Jay Boyer of Globe; Louie Rios and Robert Tellez of Safford; Mike Vargo of Fountain Hills; Andre Protas of Seton Catholic; L. J. Willis of Snowflake; Brian Zumbro of Payson and Charles Parkinson of Blue Ridge.

Others selected to the second unit included Roy Martin and Derek Farar of Safford, Adam Moro of Blue Ridge, Doug Mathis of Show Low, Gilbert Sanchez of San Manuel, Josh Dalmacio of Globe, Ben Regan of Seton Catholic, Nick Caliano of River Valley, Mike Abbott of Snowflake and Matt Castillo of Holbrook.
