Nazario named All State Kicker

Winslow High School junior place kicker Brandon Nazario was selected to the Arizona State 3A Conference Football Team following the completion of the season. Nazario converted on field goal attempts from as far as 45 yards out during the season.

Winslow had three players selected for Honorable Mention on the defensive unit. Linebackers Robert Padilla and David Manthei joined defensive back Michael Martinez to represent the Bulldogs.

The first team offensive unit consisted of quarterback Chris Semore of Ganado, runningbacks Tyler Maxwell of Blue Ridge, Johnnie Ferris of Parker and Brandon Echols of Wickenburg; receivers Mike Hollowell of Seton Catholic and Corey Austin of Round Valley; tight end Cody Mueller of Ganado; tackles J. J. White of Parker and Jordan Merchant of Wickenburg; guards D. J. Michaels and David Russell and center Richard Watkins of Blue Ridge and kicker Brandon Nazario of Winslow.

The first team defensive unit consisted of defensive backs Paul Ensman of Blue Ridge, Chris Semore of Ganado, Buddy LeSueur of Round Valley and Tyler Maxwell of Blue Ridge; linebackers Adam Moro of Blue Ridge, Rustin Genet of Show Low and Shane Fern of Wickenburg; defensive ends Tony Qorri of Wickenburg and Israel Ibarra of Santa Cruz; defensive linemen Scott Croff of Show Low and Seth Slade of Round Valley and punter Brandon Thayer of Wickenburg.

The second team offensive unit consisted of quarterback Alex Moro of Blue Ridge, runningbacks John Nelson of Parker, Kenly Reis of Blue Ridge, Mike Montgomery of River Valley and Chris Beall of Globe; receivers Toby Elkins of Blue Ridge and Jimmy Mitchell of Coolidge; tight end Haydon Harper of Parker; tackles Kiel Littell of Wickenburg and Brad Lee of Round Valley; guards Brandon Lottes of Globe and Sterling White of Payson; center Scott Croff of Show Low and kicker Adam Moro of Blue Ridge.

The second unit defensive team consisted of defensive backs Mike Smith and Randy Youtsey of Coolidge, Jeremy Smith of Snowflake and Tom Conner of Seton Catholic; linebackers Matt Garcia of Blue Ridge, Jake Cates of Round Valley, Calder Goode of Safford and Lincoln Hansen of Globe; defensive ends Lavar Bernett of Alchesay, Johnny Mosely of Coolidge, Chance Williams of Globe and Matt Reimer of River Valley.
