BOX SPRINGS, Ariz. - On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 9 a.m. MST, The Navajo Nation Department of Emergency Management and Forgotten People Dine' Be' Iina' na' hil naa (Dine' Rebuilding Communities) will host a meeting at Larry and Rolanda Tohannie's residence in Box Springs.

Southwest Navajo Tobacco Education Prevention Project art contest The Southwest Navajo Tobacco Education Prevention Project (SNTEPP) located in Winslow is sponsoring an art contest open to all Navajo artists. Entry date is Jan. 16 and winners will be announced Jan 30. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints, collages and more will be considered.

Tuba City Behavioral Health Services offers A.A. meetings to public

The Tuba City Department of Behavioral Health Services (TCDBHS) will be offering Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings to the public just in time for the holidays. Meetings will be held every day (Monday through Friday) noon to 1 p.m. and every Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. TCDBHS will also be sponsoring a Light for Life and balloon release event on Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. at the TCDBHS front lawn. The public is invited to come join in this event to remember and honor loved ones lost to drunk driving with Christmas lights and decorations to adorn our annual Christmas tree decoration and display. Local and area Christmas bazaars
Moenkopi Senior Center Christmas bazaar

The annual Moenkopi Senior Center Christmas bazaar will be held Thursday, Dec. 4 and Friday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. on both days. Food booths cost $15 and craft booths cost $10. All food vendors are required to have valid food handlers permits. Bring your own tables and chairs. For more information, call (928) 283-8025.
